The "UN" Dinner Party 2022

This year’s event, our 19th annual “The Dinner Party”, is once again a virtual performance.

We are thankful we can all still come together to celebrate International Women’s Day and mark the importance of our progress towards gender equality.

Women of Halton Action Movement (WHAM) has been proud to present this event since 2003. It provides funding for two important charities: SAVIS and CW4WAFGHAN

WHAM celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2021, having been actively advocating for women and gender equality at local, provincial and national levels since 1981.  Find out more about our history and what we do to today HERE.

Enjoy our program of speakers and music. And, please be sure to take a photo and share it with us on our social media channels (Facebook | Twitter | Instagram). We’d love to see you celebrate.

The Oakville Choir for Children & Youth has been making music in Oakville for over 25 years. It has choral programs for more than 200 young people aged 4-24, and seven different choirs under their organizational umbrella. The “Raise Her Voice” choirs feature singers between 6 and 18, and nurture female empowerment through leadership development and deliberate musical programming choices.

We will be hearing from the “Raise Her Voice – Chamber Choir”, directed by Dr. Charlene Pauls. Their performances have received international and national accolades, including a Gold Medal Win at the “World Choir Games” in Riga, Latvia, and First Place in the 2019 national CBC Amateur Choral Competition.

With each donation, we asked you to nominate a “Woman of Honour” to be recognized on this important day.

Take a moment to see all the wonderful women who inspire, motivate and encourage us.

We hope you’ve enjoyed our virtual program.

If you haven’t already, please consider making a donation. Each donation is eligible for a tax receipt for the full amount we receive.

Our charities need our help now more than ever.
